Female Sexual Health
Masters and Johnson, the famous researchers who carried out pioneering studies of human sexuality, identified four stages of human sexual response, applicable for both men and women.
They gave the following names to these four stages:
- Excitement Phase
- Plateau Phase
- Orgasmic Phase
- Resolution Phase
When sexually stimulated, almost all men progress automatically through these four stages. Unfortunately, this does not always hold true for women.
